Lately

It occurred to me recently that we haven’t published in awhile. So, I thought I’d catch you up.

I (Cormac) have been enjoying playing with my camera lately. I’ve had it for about 18 months, but just figured out that you can do a color-select-black-and-white. So for your entertainment, here are some of my favorites I’ve taken recently.

Our flower garden. We just recently tore out most of these though :(

About a month ago, I did some hiking in the montane rainforest. By far one of the coolest biomes I’ve ever been in. The following pictures are from halfway up Pico Basile.

I did go all the way to the top of Pico, to look at the plant community up there. It’s amazing!

This plant only grows on the tops of the Cameroonian Highlands Mountain chain. The nearest community is more than 40 miles away.

I’ve also been driving around the island a lot, for my job and also cause I like it. Here are some of the sights.

On probably the clearest day yet on the island. Looking from the road down to Moka, towards Riaba.

Stay tuned for a recap of our recent trip to South Africa. Yes, we’ve been busy!
